A meaningful and inspired meeting of the Cadet and Student Parliament with People's Deputy of Ukraine, Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Youth and Sports – Iryna Borzova took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
The event became an open platform for dialogue between young people and a representative of the legislative power. Cadets and students not only presented their own initiatives, but also demonstrated a modern vision of the development of student self-government –, active, responsible and socially oriented.
The participants paid special attention to the topics that today have a real impact on society: the development of the volunteer movement, the implementation of social projects, the support of vulnerable categories of the population and the establishment of effective cooperation with subordinate institutions. The discussion took place in the format of a live dialogue, where each idea found feedback and constructive discussion.
An important emphasis of the meeting was the issue of forming the leadership qualities of young people. After all, it is precisely such initiatives that help cadets and students not only to acquire knowledge, but also to develop an active civic position, which is extremely important in the conditions of modern challenges.
Rector of the university, Police General of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko emphasized that the development of Cadet and Student Self-Government – is an investment in the future of the state. According to him, this is where a generation of specialists is formed, who already today demonstrate responsibility, consciousness and readiness to act for the benefit of society.
Meanwhile, Iryna Borzova highly appreciated the level of training of the participants and noted that their ideas are distinguished by scale, creativity and practical value. She emphasized that today's youth have a powerful potential to change the country and assured of her support for – both at the state level and personally.
Separately, the deputy noted the active volunteer activity of cadets and students, their concern for social problems and systematic work with subordinate institutions. In particular, she drew attention to effective initiatives implemented in Vinnytsia region, which already have a noticeable positive resonance.
The meeting was a clear example of how the interaction of education, youth and the state can create real change. And most importantly, – showed that Ukrainian youth are not just talking about the future, but are actively shaping it today.
