National Academy of Internal Affairs
The National Academy of Internal Affairs is one of the most prestigious higher education institutions with specific study conditions. It can rightly be considered a leader not only in its segment, but also in the legal education system of Ukraine in general. The basic element of the comprehensive training system for higher education applicants of the Academy is higher legal education, integrated into the European model of professional training for police officers. Conduction of all types of classes is provided by highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff with the involvement of experienced specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police, other law enforcement and judicial institutions, public and international organizations. The Academy, as an educational-scientific-practical complex, provides educational services for the training of specialists with higher bachelor's and master's degrees in such specialties as "Law", "Law Enforcement", "Public Administration" and "Psychology" for criminal police, operational service, cybersecurity and criminal analysis specialists (including cases of digital evidence analysis), forensic experts and forensic inspectors, prevention officers, and practical psychologists.
Retraining and advanced training for all major categories of basic police specializations are carried out at NAIA, including KORD and TOR (tactical and operational response) units. The Academy is the only one in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to have specialized training centers for peacekeepers, polygraph examiners and paramedics. Specific tactical and explosive, arms, language, computer and pre-medical training has been strengthened, new specializations in anti-corruption management, security of journalists, and gender competence have been introduced.
To integrate the educational process, physical and spiritual hardening of patriots, meaningful content of educational work and leisure, the institution strengthens, expands and now has the best in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs educational and scientific material, technical basis and infrastructure with the prospects to open new modern buildings and facilities in the near future.
About forty specialized training grounds have been created, modern firing grounds, shooting ranges, autodrome and obstacle courses have been arranged, thousands of square meters of residential buildings have been built. Specialized classrooms are equipped with modern multimedia, computer and forensic equipment, automated workplaces, wide access to departmental and global electronic networks.
Given the specifics of the profession, the practical training of future police officers is important. Only after working out models of behavior with a potential offender, cadets can master the right techniques and are able to choose the right algorithm of actions. Each training ground is built in such way that they can see situation with their own eyes and conduct researches and experiments, perform investigative actions and draw up procedural documents in conditions as close as possible to the real ones.
Cadets continue to successfully consolidate acquired skills during training practices and internships, taking duty in patrols and investigative task forces of territorial police bodies, taking a direct part in the protection of public order and special operations. Priority is given to practicing combined actions on landfills - from crime registration to trial process. To this end, a new "Courtroom" module has been introduced, on the basis of which the training of employees, who implement measures to protect the premises of bodies and institutions of the justice system, is also carried out. An important component of professional training of future law enforcement officers is physical and arms training.
Experienced instructors help cadets to work out speed, and accuracy of performance of all actions, using functionality of interactive shooting galleries. Appropriate conditions have been created for the physical training of cadets, the formation of self-defense and hand-to-hand combat skills. Modern gyms, stadiums, treadmills and playgrounds for sports are at the service of students. Cafe and canteen services are provided for participants of the educational process. After all, having regained strength with a tasty meal, everyone will strive to learn better. The structure of the Academy successfully operates the only in Ukraine Department of Pre-medical Training, where, according to European standards, cadets practice tactics of providing emergency care to victims. The library is a powerful source of information for cadets and students, where literature is stored on both traditional and electronic format. All educational locations provide high-speed access to multimedia textbooks, electronic repository resources and departmental networks, including the educational portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
An important structural unit of the Academy is the Yaroslav Kondratiev Law Lyceum. From the lyceum begins way of future militiamen formation. Most lyceum students continue the work of their parents, who died or were injured in the line of duty, defending the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the East. Our lyceum students, cadets and pupils often visit museums, theaters, exhibitions, festivals. The Parliament of Cadet (Student) Self-Government promotes the organization of interesting leisure for students.
Vocal studio "Koloryt" and an Ensemble of Drummers are always expected guests at any celebration. Successful and talented young people have the opportunity to join the creative activities of Academy Collectives that have deservedly gained the status of National. The situation in the country due to the spread of coronavirus has forced to made some adjustments in both the educational process and the leisure system. The Academy has introduced a number of anti-epidemic measures for the safe education of lyceum students, cadets and pupils, as well as the work of all categories of employees.
Due to the increasing demands of society and increased attention to the activities of the National Police, the urgent task is to form a well-trained group of leading personnel. With the support of international partners, a specialized training course for senior police officers has been launched on the basis of the Institute for Leading Personnel Training and Advanced Training of the Academy. By learning the basics of European police management, students simultaneously acquire and improve such skills as: leadership, management, public administration, social communication (including media and public communication), logistics, law enforcement during mass events and more.
Thanks to the strong scientific potential, the Academy has provided high-quality training of candidates for the degrees of Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Science in ten scientific specialties for more than twenty years. Five specialized scientific councils for the defense of dissertations have been created and are functioning successfully, involving experienced practitioners and world-famous scientists. The Academy has a glorious 100-year history. During the years of independence, the institution has trained thousands of law enforcement officers, who serve in various positions in each unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police, or work in the prosecutor's office and at the court. Among the graduates of the Academy are famous statesmen, prominent scientists, heads of law enforcement agencies, educational institutions and research institutions and also Heroes of Ukraine. The international recognition of the Academy is enshrined in its membership in the Association of European Police Colleges, the European Association of Police Institutions in Higher Education and active cooperation with international organizations (EU Advisory Mission, Council of Europe Office, UN, NATO and OSCE missions, various foundations, International Police Association, embassies of friendly countries).

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is a high-level training centre for the National Police of Ukraine that meets all international standards and is under the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The University keeps up with the times, develops educational and scientific activities, strengthens its material and technical base, and trains modern personnel for the country's law enforcement agencies under the legal regime of martial law. The Rector of the University is Valerii Sokurenko, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honoured Lawyer of Ukraine, Police General of the third rank.
There are five educational and research institutes, an institute of postgraduate education and distance learning, Sumy branch, Kremenchuk Flight College and the Centre for Initial Professional Training ‘Police Academy’. The University's priority areas of activity have always been practical orientation of the educational process, military-patriotic and national-patriotic education.
Educational and Research Institute No. 1 (training of specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies of the NPU) trains full-time bachelors in the speciality 081 ‘Law’ (4 years of study) and masters.
The Educational and Research Institute No. 2 (training of specialists for the criminal police units of the NPU) trains full-time bachelors under the state order in the following specialities: 081 ‘Law’, 071 ‘Accounting and Taxation’ (4 years of study); 262 ‘Law Enforcement’ (3 years of study).
The Educational and Research Institute No. 3 (training of specialists for the NPU's preventive activity units) trains full-time bachelors in the speciality 262 ‘Law Enforcement’ (3 years of study) and masters.
The Educational and Research Institute No. 4 (training of specialists in information and analytical support and cybersecurity of the NPU) trains full-time bachelors in the following specialities: 125 ‘Cybersecurity and Information Protection’, 126 ‘Information Systems and Technologies’ (4 years of study); 262 ‘Law Enforcement’ (3 years of study). This is the only institute in the system of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine that trains specialists for cyber police units of the National Police of Ukraine.
The Educational and Research Institute No. 5 trains specialists at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities in full-time and part-time forms of education, including foreign citizens: - Bachelor's degree programmes in 081 ‘Law’, 125 ‘Cybersecurity and Information Protection’, 126 ‘Information Systems and Technologies’, 071 ‘Accounting and Taxation’, 072 ‘Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market’, 053 ‘Psychology’ (4 years of study), 262 ‘Law Enforcement’ (3 years of study); - Master's degree in 081 ‘Law’, 125 ‘Cybersecurity and Information Protection’, 072 ‘Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market’, 053 ‘Psychology’, 262 ‘Law Enforcement’ (study period 1 year 6 months).
The educational process is provided by 28 departments, 7 cycle commissions, 5 research laboratories, and a powerful scientific and pedagogical team, which employs 100 Doctors of Sciences, 309 Candidates of Sciences, 71 professors, more than 200 associate professors, and 6 senior researchers. There are 11 employees of the University who have the title of ‘Honoured’. There are 4 specialised academic councils for awarding the degree of Doctor of Science, one-time specialised academic councils for public defence of a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the following specialities: 081 ‘Law’, 053 ‘Psychology’ and 011 ‘Educational and Pedagogical Sciences’.
The University Library is an effective centre of information support for the students and academic staff. The book fund includes more than 400 thousand copies, the electronic catalogue - almost 500 thousand bibliographic records, the electronic library - 85 thousand full-text electronic sources, the repository - 22 thousand scientific works of the university authors. The library of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is included in the UniRank directory of university libraries in the world.
The university provides training grounds: The Centre for Combating Cybercrime and Monitoring Cyberspace, the Centre for Correctional and Psychodiagnostic Activities, Gender Education, and the Centre for Ukrainian-Polish Development. There is a Legal Clinic in Kharkiv and its branches in Vinnytsia, Kamianets-Podilskyi, and Sumy. Cadets and students provide free legal aid to the public under the guidance of experienced professionals.
The University is actively involved in international programmes and projects aimed at improving the law enforcement system of Ukraine. KhNUIA is implementing the projects of the Horizon 2020 programme - ‘iNteracting netwOrk of inTelligence and securIty practitiOners with iNdustry and acadEmia actorS’ (NOTIONES), ‘European Regional Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age’ (EQUALS-EU) and ‘Strengthening the Capacity of the National Police of Ukraine to Combat Cybercrime and Child Sexual Exploitation on the Internet’ (OSCE Coordinator). The Horizon 2020 programme is an EU initiative, the largest programme that supports the development of science and innovation on a competitive basis. The university is a co-executor of the RESONANT project of the Horizon Europe programme.
KhNUIA is implementing the project ‘EU Policy Traffic Light: Gender, Rights, Migration and Digitalisation’ under the Jean Monnet Programme of the Erasmus+ programme. The project aims to demonstrate how the use of digital technologies ensures privacy and general human rights at different stages of the migration cycle, especially women's rights. The aim of the Jean Monnet Erasmus+ programme is to intensify the European integration discourse, promote excellence in European integration studies, engage higher education institutions in researching European integration processes and disseminating the ideas of a united Europe.
KhNUIA carries out annual comprehensive criminological, sociological and psychological monitoring of the state of crime, causes and conditions of crime, background phenomena, trust in law enforcement agencies and public opinion about police work. This monitoring is implemented within the framework of the research projects ‘Security and Trust’ (since 2013), ‘Youth and Drugs’ (since 1997), and ‘Ukrainian Longitudinal Study’ (since 2019). All studies are conducted within the framework of regional programmes, international memoranda and cooperation agreements with national research institutions, with the support of the National Police and regional police departments of the regions where they are subsequently implemented, as well as in cooperation with international organisations (EUAM, UNODC, American and European research and educational institutions, professional associations). Research results are published in the world's best publishing houses and peer-reviewed journals of the 1-2 quartile, and presented at such world-class scientific events as the annual conferences of the European Criminological Society, the American Criminological Society, etc.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is implementing the Community Police Officer project on the basis of KhNUIA with the support of ICITAP (the US Department of Justice's International Criminal Investigative Training and Advanced Program). At the initiative of the state leadership, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police, the University is introducing the Educational Security Service project. Its goal is to protect children in schools during a full-scale war and to create a safe environment after the war.
The university is also in charge of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' lyceums of security and national-patriotic education, participates in the Police Cadets project, educates young people in the spirit of national-patriotic and military-patriotic orientation, and attracts young men and women to enter and study at police higher education institutions.
One of the main principles of organising the educational process at KhNUIA is its practical orientation. The cadets of the University receive not only theoretical knowledge during lectures and seminars, but also master the practical skills necessary for service under the legal regime of martial law. Employees of KhNUIA serve in the police of Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
Thousands of university graduates are defending our country with arms in their hands. Police officers serve in the de-occupied territories to protect public safety and order, detecting saboteurs, accomplices of the Russian aggressor, collaborators, demine the territories, help to establish humanitarian aid for the population, document war crimes, etc.
Among the graduates of KhNUIA there are heroes who will always remain in our hearts. The deputy commander of the ‘Azov’ separate special purpose detachment of the National Guard of Ukraine for combat and special training, Senior Lieutenant Vitalii Hrytsaienko, call sign ‘Gogol’, was killed during the defence of Mariupol. He volunteered to join the unit to defend our country from Russian aggression. For his personal courage and heroism, he was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of the Golden Star. The Poltava Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training, which is now under the care of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, was named after Vitalii Hrytsaienko. Vitalii Hrytsaienko's name, along with the names of other heroes, is immortalised in the Book of Memory of the Fallen Graduates of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, which contains the stories of those who heroically gave their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Physical culture, sports and a healthy lifestyle are an essential part of raising conscious citizens of Ukraine and true patriots of their country. Numerous sports clubs, such as sambo and judo, boxing, kettlebell lifting, athletics, game sports (football, volleyball, basketball), as well as sports competitions held regularly at the university, help to build strength, character and willpower in young people. This is important for the education of future law enforcement officers, who must be physically fit to perform their duties and be able to protect and assist those who cannot do so on their own.
The most talented and trained cadets and students defend the honour of the university and our country at competitions at the national, European and world levels, gaining victories. The cadets and students are provided with comfortable conditions not only during the educational process, but also in their everyday life: modern dormitories, canteens, and a medical and sanitary unit. It should be noted that the academic buildings and dormitories are equipped with shelters in case of air raid or shelling.
The entire university staff has become an active participant in the volunteer movement, helping both the military and civilians. Every month, the trade union organisation transfers funds for the needs of the Security and Defence Forces. Employees and students deliver medicines, medical equipment and supplies to hospitals, hospitals and other medical institutions and involve foreign partners, international organisations and charitable foundations in this work. They purchase and repair vehicles for the frontline. They make camouflage nets, trench candles and blood donations. They provide assistance to civilians and participate in the implementation of national social programmes such as ‘No Barriers’, ‘Friendly Support’, ‘Visit a Wounded Soldier, Honor a Hero’ and others. One of these projects is the Driving School for People with Disabilities, a training course for drivers of category B vehicles. Two specialised classrooms have been set up for the training of people with limited mobility, where theoretical training is provided. Practical skills can be acquired using a specialised vehicle with additional certified equipment. The university has all the necessary conditions for quality education and comfortable living, taking into account the physical needs of different categories of students, including people with disabilities.
For the purpose of psychological and social adaptation of war veterans, the staff of the Department of Tactical and Special Physical Training conducts weekly sports lessons with them. The university has created appropriate and comfortable conditions for the involvement of combatants and war veterans in physical education, sports and physical activity, which contributes to the quality physical recovery of our defenders.
The staff of the higher education institution is confident that the war will end victoriously and the university will return to the Hero City of Kharkiv as its main training base. Odesa State University of Internal Affairs
Odesa State University of Internal Affairs provides a full cycle of training for lawyers: from bachelor to doctor of sciences. Cadets and students study such general legal disciplines as: criminal law, civil law, criminology, criminal procedure, civil process, criminology, international law, constitutional law, administrative law and administrative process, financial, tax, customs law, legal psychology and more.
In addition, special disciplines are taught for university cadets, such as: operational and investigative activities, fire training, tactical and special training, special physical training, combating cybercrime, etc. In order to consolidate theoretical knowledge, field practical classes are held in the units of the National Police.
The University consists of 6 faculties, 19 departments, Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Cyber Security, Research Laboratory on Problematic Issues of Criminal Analysis, Department of Postgraduate Education, Doctoral Studies and graduate school, departments, services and support units.
The University publishes scientific journals "South Ukrainian Law Journal" and "Legal Bulletin", which are included in the list of scientific professional publications, which can publish the results of dissertations for the degree of Doctor and Candidate of Law (Doctor of Philosophy) (Decision of the Attestation Board of MES of Ukraine from 26.06.2014).

The university has 2 specialized academic councils, the Center for Gender Education, Preparatory Courses, the School of Criminal Journalism, and the Legal Clinic.
The internship of students is carried out at their choice in government agencies and institutions, as well as in commercial enterprises and institutions.
The cadets have an internship in the units of the National Police, where they will be guaranteed employment after graduation.
The guarantee of quality training is the professional level of scientific and pedagogical staff. Today the university has a strong pedagogical potential of scientists: 27 doctors of sciences and 118 candidates of sciences. In addition to scientific achievements, most employees have extensive experience in practical departments - the judiciary and law enforcement agencies, which is extremely important for the training of future lawyers.

Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs
Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs is a multi-profile higher educational establishment of the MIA of Ukraine system, which embraces all stages of education: Bachelor, Master, internship, PhD studies, advance training and post-graduate studies.
The University includes the following faculties:

In general, the University trains more than 5,000 of cadets, students and listeners in specialties “Law”, “Law Enforcement Activity”, “Psychology”, “Economics”, “Management”, “Public Management and Administration”, “International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies”.
Nearly 1,600 persons are admitted by the University annually, who obtain the diplomas of Junior Specialist, Bachelor and Master after the graduation.
Courtroom, educational ground “Economic Security”, tactical medicine room, interactive room for combatting domestic violence, psycho-training complex, shooting and multimedia ranges, interactive room “Unit of the National Police”; working places for specialists of the National Police (of the operational line 102, patrol service dispatcher, investigator, operational officer, juvenile prevention officer) with mobile emulators of informational and informational-search systems operate at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The University supports ties with 27 educational establishments, scientific institutions and organizations. Besides, mutual cooperation agreements have been signed with 15 partners. In 2018, DSUIA became the 55th member of the Association of European Police Colleges (AEPC).
In working with personnel special attention is paid to moral, spiritual and esthetic up-brining of higher education applicants. For this purpose DSUIA has created all conditions for comprehensive development of a personality. DSUIA’s History Museum is a core of education and teaching; it contributes in forming the national consciousness in students and provides spiritual unity of generations.
3 hostels, 2000 places dining room, canteens, volleyball and football grounds, 8 specialized gyms as well as shooting and multimedia ranges operate at the territory of the University.
The University supports operation of the psychological department. It has become the basis for psycho-training complex, which employs three rooms with five automated working places for psychologists. There is a room for conducting individual and team psychological preventive work (psychological self-regulation room). A separate working place of a psychologist has been created to conduct procedures applying room’s equipment – multimedia center and monitor. Psychological self-regulation room is used for practical classes with students, cadets and staff for them to apply key methods of psychological relaxation. The innovation is using the premises with the educational purpose to conduct expert trainings, practical classes, working over practical means, etc. via online system connected with 2 rooms simultaneously with 4 cameras. Psychological department has become a basis for creating the Center of Psychological Aid and Rehabilitation for Veterans/Soldiers of АТО/JFO.

DSUIA Improves Its Ranking in the SciVerse Scopus Database
The results of the 2025 annual ranking of higher education institutions based on the SciVerse Scopus database have been published.

Lviv State University of Internal Affairs
L'viv State University of Internal Affairs is a multidisciplinary higher education institution of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which provides educational services for the training of specialists of educational degrees:
"Bachelor" in the following specialties: "Law", "Law Enforcement", "Psychology", "Accounting and Taxation", "Finance, Banking and Insurance" and "Management";
"Master" in the specialties: "Law", "Law Enforcement", "Psychology", "Management", "Financial Intelligence".
"Doctor of Philosophy" in the specialties: "Law", "Economics", "and Management".
The university has 6 faculties: for training specialists for investigation units (№ 1); training of specialists for criminal police units (№ 2); training of specialists for preventive police units (№ 3); Faculty of Law, Faculty of Psychology and Faculty of Management and Economic Security; as well as the training department "Vereshchytsia", the Western Ukrainian Center for Primary Vocational Training "Police Academy", the Department of Educational and Scientific Training and the Center for Postgraduate Education, Distance and Distance Learning.
The university has doctoral and postgraduate (postgraduate), specialized academic councils for the defense of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in "Criminal Law and Criminology, Criminal Enforcement Law", "Philosophy of Law", "Economic Security of the State", " Economic security of economic entities ".
The educational process at the university is provided by 22 departments. The highly qualified research and teaching staff of the educational institution consists of 11 academicians, 28 doctors and 227 candidates of sciences, 1 "Honored Lawyer of Ukraine", 1 "Honored Worker of Education", 2 "Honored Workers of Science and Technology", 3 "Excellence in Education", including 22 professors and 131 associate professors, 2 masters of sports of international class, 2 honored masters of sports of Ukraine, 14 masters of sports of Ukraine and 2 masters of sports of the USSR.

LESI named after E.O. Didorenko of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs
Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after E.O. Didorenko trains personnel for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, police officers and specialists in the field of law in specialties 081 "Law" and 262 "Law Enforcement" for Luhansk region and other regions of Ukraine.
During the redeployment, the educational process was restored, in accordance with the license conditions, its material and technical and educational and methodological bases were renewed. In particular, a dormitory and a dining room for cadets, two libraries, computer classes, a multimedia shooting range, a gym and other classrooms that meet modern requirements have been put into operation; new educational and scientific literature was purchased in volumes that meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The teaching staff consists of 80% of research and teaching staff who have obtained the degree of candidate or doctor of sciences, of which two thirds have the academic titles of associate professors and professors. Professional development of pedagogical, scientific-pedagogical and scientific workers is carried out in due time. The university is actively engaged in research work on topical issues in the field of law.
The main areas of scientific research are: 1) Scientific and organizational support of law enforcement agencies. Legal and organizational support of law enforcement agencies. 2) Improving the activities of law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime and public activities. 3) Legal and organizational support of law enforcement agencies. 4) Problems of personnel, educational and methodical support and social and psychological work in the activities of law enforcement agencies.
Today, Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after E.O. Didorenko continues the established and begins new traditions due to the requirements of the time.

Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs
The University carries out training of the specialists on "Bachelor" and "Master" educational degrees, provides "Doctor of Philosophy" and "Doctor of Science" educational and scientific degree in "Law", "Law Enforcement", "Economics", "Public Administration" . The educational structure of the University consists of an educational and scientific institute and six faculties.
Faculty № 1 (training of specialists for pre-trial investigation authorities) provides training for specialists with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Law (duration of the course – 4 years). Training for pre-trial investigation authorities is based on complete general secondary education. At this faculty, graduates who have received a bachelor's degree in law, may obtain a master's degree in law. The term of study on Master program is 1,6 years. Education at both levels is carried out under the state order.
Faculty № 2 (training of specialists for preventive activities) provides training for specialists with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in the specialty 262 "Law Enforcement Activity". Training for patrol police, units of preventive activities that ensure public safety and order is based on complete general secondary education (duration of the course - 3 years). At this faculty, graduates who have received a Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement Activity may obtain a Master's degree in Law Enforcement Activity on the correspondence form of study. (duration of the course – 1,8 years). Education at both levels is carried out under the state order.
Faculty № 3 (training of specialists for criminal police units) provides training for specialists with a Bachelor's degree in specialty 262 "Law Enforcement Activity". Training for criminal police units order is based on complete general secondary education (Duration of the course - 3 years). Graduators who have a bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement Activity may obtain a Master's degree in Law Enforcement Activity. Duration of the course - 1, 8 years. Education at both levels is carried out under the state order.
Faculty № 4 (Law, Security, Management and Economics) provides training for specialists in "Law", "Law Enforcement", "Public Administration", "Economics". To obtain a Bachelor's degree based on complete general secondary education, there is a full-time and part-time form of study (duration of the course 3-5 years at the highest level of the specialty). And besides, the faculty offers a distance learning based on the degree of "Junior Specialist", "Bachelor" (Duration of the course – 3 years). Also, there is an opportunity to obtain a Master's degree in "Law" (duration of the course: full-time - 1.6 years, part-time form - 1.8 years) and "Law Enforcement Activity" (duration of the course on the correspondence form of study - 1.8 years). Training is provided at the expense of individuals and legal entities.
The Kryvyi Rih Educational and Scientific Institute (KRESI) functions in the warehouse University. There are two faculties engaged in providing of training courses.
Faculty №1 KRESI (Police Training) provides training for specialists for the units of the National Police at the Bachelor's level in the specialty "Law" and "Law Enforcement Activity" including also the correspondence form of study.
Full-time training for pre-trial investigation, prevention and criminal police is provided on complete general secondary education (duration of the course 4 years on “Law” specialty and 3 years on “Law enforcement activities” specialty).
Part-time training is provided for current employees of the National Police on the basis of complete general secondary education (duration of the course - 4 years in the specialty "Law Enforcement Activity").
Graduates who have received a Bachelor's degree in "Law" and "Law Enforcement Activity" can obtain a Master's degree in these specialties - respectively, at Faculty №1 and Faculty №2 of the University. The duration of the course is 1.6 years. Education at both levels of education is carried out by state order.
Faculty № 2 KRESI (Law) provides training for specialists with a Bachelor's degree in "Law", "Law Enforcement Activity", "Economics" and "Public Administration" on the basis of complete general secondary education in full-time education at the expense of physical and legal entities, as well as provides the opportunity to obtain a qualification "Master" in the specialty 081 "Law" while studying full-time. The duration of the Master program is 1 year 6 month.
And besides, the faculty provides the opportunity to receive education in the same specialties and on distance learning, both on the basis of complete general secondary education (specialty 262 "Law Enforcement Activity" and 081 "Law". Duration of the course 3 years 10 months) and on the basis of junior specialist and previous higher non-law education (specialties 051 "Economics", 081 "Law" and 281 "Public Administration").
The Faculty № 2 KRESI provides training for specialists of the "Master" degree in the specialties 081 "Law" and 262 "Law Enforcement Activity". The duration of the Master program is 1 year 8 months at the expense of individuals and legal entities.
Postgraduate Studies (Adjutcture) provide training of scientific and pedagogical staff of the highest qualification in full-time and part-time forms of education for higher education of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in "Law" in these following researches directions: theory and history of state and law; history of political and legal doctrines; commercial law; economic and procedural law; labor law and social security law; administrative law and process; finance law; information law; criminal law and criminology; criminal executive law; criminal procedure and criminology; forensic examination; operational and investigative activities. The duration of the course – 4 years. In Postgraduate Studies (Adjutcture), along with the state budget form of education, scientific and pedagogical staff is trained under contract.
Doctoral Studies provide training for highly qualified scientific personnel in the full-time form of education for the degree of Doctor of Laws in the following researches directions: theory and history of state and law; history of political and legal doctrines; commercial law; economic and procedural law; labor law and social security law; administrative law and process; finance law; information law; criminal law and criminology; criminal executive law; criminal procedure and criminology; forensic examination; operational and investigative activities. Doctoral studies are carried out at the expense of the state budget and funds of individuals and legal entities.
Specialized Scientific Council. The Specialized Scientific Council for the award of the degree of Doctor of Sciences was established at the University in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on April 7, 2022, №320.

Pre-university Training Courses for entrants provide an opportunity for entrants to take a course in subjects which are included into the National Multi-Subject Test (EIT) and help to value the academic achievements of graduates of general secondary education. Experienced specialists of the University are involved in conducting preparatory courses (Ukrainian language, Mathematics and History of Ukraine). During more than 15 years of work (since 2006) more than 4,000 entrants have been prepared to enter Higher Education Institutions.
The University has an experienced scientific and professional pedagogical team. Classes with cadets, students and trainees are conducted by 25 Doctors of Sciences and 19 Professors, 100 Candidates of Sciences and 58 Associate Professors. There are 18 departments and 2 research laboratories.
The University has a modern technical and resource base in Kropyvnytskyi and Kryvyi Rih. There are also unique educational classrooms and "Child-Friendly Room" to provide psychological assistance to victims of violence and two law clinics where cadets and students provide free legal aid.
The University has established a scientific society of students, cadets, students, graduate students, associate professors and young scientists, which is a leading center aimed at finding young people inclined to scientific work to train and create a strong scientific reserve of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.

National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine
The National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine is a powerful multidisciplinary military institution of higher education that carries out targeted training of military specialists. For almost 90 years, the Academy has been training military specialists of various qualifications. Cadets at the Academy study by state order. The close interaction of the state customer and the educational institution makes it possible to prepare competent graduates adapted to perform the necessary tasks. After receiving diplomas, graduates have mandatory employment in the National Guard of Ukraine and in other security forces of Ukraine. Since 2013, girls have had the opportunity to study at the Academy not only in civilian, but also in military specialties. The organization of training is based on many years of experience of teachers and is based on both classical and proven methods and modern training methods using the latest training and computer equipment.
Along with cadets, students study at the Faculty of Humanities. After graduation, they have the opportunity to realize themselves in all spheres of social life.
Simultaneously with the acquisition of the chosen specialty, students have the opportunity to study under the reserve officer training program at the military department. After two years of training, they receive the officer rank of "junior reserve lieutenant".

National Academy of the State Border Service named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky
National Academy of the State Border Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi (hereinafter - the National Academy) is a higher military educational institution of the State Border Service of Ukraine, which trains military specialists for the State Border Service of Ukraine.
At the National Academy, specialists are trained at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education both by state order and at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities. Adjuncts are also trained at the third (educational-scientific/educational-creative) level of higher education and doctoral students at the scientific level. For specialists of bodies (subdivisions) of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and scientific and pedagogical workers, professional development activities are systematically organized.
Graduates of the first (bachelor) level of higher education upon completion of their state-ordered studies receive the professional qualification "Tactical level officer of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine" and are appointed to primary officer positions with the primary military rank of officer - lieutenant. Those who have completed the second (master's) level of higher education receive the professional qualification "Officer of the operational level of the State Border Service of Ukraine" upon completion of their studies, and "Officer of the strategic level of the State Border Service of Ukraine" in specialty 256 "National Security".
The educational process at the academy provides an opportunity for trainees (cadets, students) to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities in the military, humanitarian, social, scientific and natural, technical spheres necessary for professional activity, and their intellectual, moral, spiritual, aesthetic and physical development.
The National Academy includes: management, 4 faculties, staff training department, doctoral studies, adjunct faculty, educational process support center and support units. A modern, effective educational material and technical base has been created.
National Academy of the State Border Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi is the only institution of higher education in Ukraine that has been cooperating with the FRONTEX agency since February 2019 and is officially affiliated to the network of partner academies of this agency. This made it possible to expand the capabilities of the National Academy and its potential, as well as to ensure cooperation with educational institutions of the European Union, etc.
