A combatant, war veteran, police officer of the Main Police Department in Chernivtsi region Serhii HONCHAROV and a senior lecturer of the Department of Special Physical Training of KhNUIA Ivan OMELIANENKO during a practical lesson demonstrated to the cadets the techniques of protection from knife attacks, disarming and detaining a criminal by delivering counterattacks to the armed limb and blows to vulnerable points on the body, as well as using throws, painful and suffocating techniques, a rubber baton and combined methods of protection.

Serhii HONCHAROV emphasized that protection from the attacking actions of an armed offender should be aimed at safety and preservation of life, requiring quick, well-founded actions taking into account specific circumstances.
