Traditionally, on the occasion of Science Day, the annual All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Problems of Modern Science in the Research of Young Scientists, Cadets and Students” was held at the university.

The scientific event was opened by the First Vice-Rector of the university, Doctor of Law, Professor Viktor Vasylenko. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of developing youth science, creating conditions for the realization of the scientific potential of education seekers and presenting the results of their research.

The Vice-Rector of the university, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Oleksandr Muzychuk also addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech. He announced the results of a number of competitions, including the best scientific article in the field of law, law enforcement and psychology (to the 25th anniversary of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in the status of a national one), the final conference of the competition of scientific works of applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, as well as the annual competition "Scientist of the Year of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs". The winners and participants were awarded diplomas and awards.

Within the framework of the conference, young scientists discussed topical issues of the development of law, economic security, legal psychology, information technologies, national-patriotic education of youth and other areas of modern science.

The scientific event was attended by over 190 participants – young scientists, postgraduate students, associate professors, doctoral candidates, master’s degree candidates, cadets and students from leading higher education institutions of Ukraine, in particular from the National Academy of Internal Affairs, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine, Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, Sumy State University, National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” and State University of Trade and Economics.

A collection of abstracts was formed based on the results of the conference, which will be published on the official website of the university.
