НАВС

The second futsal championship among lyceum students of the MIA of Ukraine took place in Kamianets-Podilskyi - an event that is confidently becoming a new sports tradition.

This year, teams of lyceums of security and national-patriotic education from different parts of the country fought for victory. Representatives from Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, and Military Lyceum of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in Khmelnytskyi gathered at the venue.

The competition took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and lasted two days, filled with tense matches, memorable moments and genuine sporting excitement.

The event was opened by the Vice-Rector of KhNUIA, Serhii Bortnyk, a delegate of the Ukrainian Football Association; the Mayor of Kamianets-Podilskyi, Mykhailo Positko; the Head of Kamianets-Podilskyi DPD of the MDNP in Khmelnytskyi region, Vasyl Shkindiuk; and the Chairman of the Board of the ‘Epicentre’ Football Club, Fedir Daniv.

“This is the second time we have held this championship, and thanks to the support of the Ministry of the Interior, all the conditions have been put in place for you to prove yourselves in the competition. I wish each of you victory in a fair and uncompromising contest, thrilling experiences and a confident path towards new sporting achievements,” said Serhii Bortnyk.

The lyceum students demonstrated not only technical skill, but also composure, team spirit and a thirst for victory.

The final bouts were the highlight of the tournament – emotional, dynamic and uncompromising.

The winners and runners-up were awarded cups, medals and certificates of appreciation for their high level of preparation and for representing their educational institutions with distinction.

The performances by KhNUIA drumming troupe added a special atmosphere to the event, serving as a vibrant creative highlight of the championship.

During the awards ceremony, Ivan Okaiev, Head of the Department of Organizational Activities and Monitoring of the Lyceums Monitoring Department of the MIA, addressed the participants: “Each of you has demonstrated composure, fair play and respect for your opponents – qualities that shape not only an athlete, but also a future defender of the state.”

In addition to the sporting events, the lyceum students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in history – a dramatized tour was organized for them to the Kamianets-Podilskyi Fortress, one of Ukraine’s most famous monuments of defensive architecture.

The championship proved once again that modern lyceums of the MIA are not just about discipline and education, but also about developing strength, character and true team spirit.
