Cadets of the scientific and practical group of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of the KhNUIA - the SHIELD tactical and special forces unit - took part in a specialized training course conducted by instructors of the Artan Special Forces Unit.

“Modern combat requires not only physical training, but also the ability to make decisions quickly, act in a coordinated manner and support comrades in the most difficult conditions. That is why such training courses are an important component of the training of future officers,” said a fighter of the Artan Special Forces Unit.

The training program covered key areas of modern tactics:

tactical medicine - practicing algorithms for providing assistance in conditions of active fire contact and evacuating the wounded;
conducting combat in wooded areas - covert movement, organizing ambushes and countering sabotage groups;
CQB (Close Quarters Battle) – actions and clearing of premises in an urban environment.

University graduates – former members of the SHIELD group, who serve in units of the National Police of Ukraine, also trained together with the cadets. The joint training became an example of generational continuity, preservation of unit traditions, and support for younger colleagues.

Participation in such exercises gives future officers the opportunity to gain practical experience from specialists who perform complex combat missions, as well as improve the skills necessary for service in modern challenges.
