The event was held online and offline, in an open-space format. The event was attended by academic staff of secondary schools, and vocational and higher education institutions, including specialists from the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, in total, about 300 people.

The forum was opened by the Rector DSUIA Colonel Andrii Fomenko.

"Today we will discuss an important issue - gender equality in education. Given the fact that our country is now moving towards European integration, this issue is very relevant. Today, it is being implemented not only in the state development strategy, but also in all higher education institutions. We are preparing the future of the state, so we have an important mission. We are doing everything to continue building a European, democratic, rule-of-law state," said Andrii Yevhenovych.

LILIIA HYRENKO , Head of the Department for Humanitarian, Social and Cultural Affairs and Education of the Executive Office of the Dnipro Regional Council of the VII convocation, addressed the participants of the event.

"Dnipro region is a leader among other regions of Ukraine in terms of gender equality. A significant merit in this is the cooperation of the regional council with scientists from the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. In recent years, we have implemented many joint extraordinary projects. In particular, our joint efforts were the first in Ukraine to analyze regional programs for gender compliance," said LILIIA HYRENKO.

ANNA MIAHKYKH, the head of the Dnipro Gender Club, welcomed the participants and spoke about the peculiarities of the event and its key tasks.

The forum was held in an open space format at several locations of the university. The invited speakers presented their own developments and reports.

In particular, LARYSA NALYVAIKO, Vice-Rector of the institution, presented a report on the experience of the DSUIA in the field of gender integration: education, science and best management practices.

Among the issues discussed were the policies of Ukrainian educational institutions on combating discrimination and bullying; the creation of a unified algorithm for responding to gender-based violence in schools; the State Strategy for Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men until 2030; sexuality education in Ukrainian schools; gender audits in schools; gender stereotypes, etc.

The event also featured topical discussions, and the highlight of the event was a podium discussion on methods and tools for implementing the Gender Equality Strategy in Education.
