A specialist in the Department of social and humanitarian work and national and patriotic education of the department of social and humanitarian work of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, a participant in hostilities Lilia TOVSTOPIAT conducted an art therapy class for defenders undergoing rehabilitation in one of the medical institutions. Its goal is to involve participants in hostilities in drawing as an element of psychological rehabilitation, as well as create a space for communication, exchange of experiences and mutual support.
The event began with an interactive introduction: the participants passed the ball to each other, called their names and shared interesting facts about themselves. This format helped to relieve tension, create a friendly atmosphere and tune in to creative cooperation.
During the class, everyone painted the sleeves, putting something personal into the ornaments: memories, wishes and dreams. This process became not only a way to distract from disturbing thoughts, but also to express oneself through art. Each cartridge case turned into a unique creation - a symbol of inner strength, endurance and indomitability.
A warm, relaxed atmosphere prevailed: the men joked, laughed, shared their thoughts and experiences. The session became a space for sincere communication, psychological relief, support and exchange of experiences.
At the end, the defenders sincerely shared their impressions, noting how important it is for them to feel support, attention and unity. Such meetings, according to them, give strength and help return to a peaceful life. As a memento, everyone took a joint photo together.
