KhNUIA: Experience of peacekeepers under the flag of the UN and Ukraine
НАВС

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held informational and educational meetings for students dedicated to Ukraine's international peacekeeping activities.

The history of independent Ukraine's participation in international peacekeeping and security operations under the auspices of the UN began in July 1992 in the former Republic of Yugoslavia. Since then, more than 40,000 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including employees of the internal affairs bodies, have taken part in UN peacekeeping operations in Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, Liberia, South Sudan and other regions of the world.

Among them are those who served or studied at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and still remain part of our team. They share with the cadets their own experience of participating in peacekeeping missions, which is especially valuable in the context of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. The younger generation of law enforcement officers, more than ever, understands the importance of maintaining peace, security, and stability in the world, as well as the importance of international peacekeeping activities under the UN flag.
