A working meeting was held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs with veterans, as well as representatives of government bodies and public organizations that deal with issues of supporting the defenders of Ukraine.

The event was chaired by the Rector of the university, police general of the third rank Valerii SOKURENKO, with the participation of employees with veteran status who recently started working in various services of the university, Director of the Department of Veteran Policy of Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration Andrii HRACHOV, Head of the separate unit of the public organization "Union of Participants and Veterans of the ATO" (SUVIATO) in Vinnytsia region Victoria POLIAPENKO.

The participants discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation, the state of implementation of veteran policy at the university, as well as areas of further interaction. Valerii SOKURENKO paid special attention to the involvement of veterans in the work processes of a higher education institution with specific learning conditions, their integration into the educational and scientific environment, the creation of conditions for professional adaptation, and the provision of psychological and social support.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs will continue to be a reliable partner in the implementation of the state veteran policy and the development of systemic support for soldiers and their family members.
