A professional meeting was held for final year cadets of Law where as a speaker was Vasyl Fedytnyk, the founder of lawyer unity ‘Legal Strategy’, lawyer, graduate of KhNUIA. The event was organized by initiative of Tetiana Fomina, Head of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Organization of Pre-trial Investigation.

Vasyl Fedytnyk shared his own professional experience and explored the topic ‘Procedural features of conducting a search at a lawyer’s office’. Seekers of Higher Education joined to the event, as well as research and educational workers of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Organization of Pretrial Investigation.

In his report the lawyer focused the attention of future lawyers on the legal guarantees of the lawyer’s activities, the features of the procedural order of conducting a search, as well as the importance of the compliance of balance between pretrial investigation interests and protection of the attorney-client privilege.

The speaker paid special attention to the practical aspects, providing examples from his own practice of law and emphasizing typical mistakes that should be avoided during such investigative actions.

The meeting held in the form of a professional dialogue, during which cadets actively asked questions, debated and discussed problematic aspects of criminal procedures.

Such events help future investigators develop practical thinking, understand the realities of the legal profession and awareness of high standards of legal ethics.
