The competition was based on the simulation of a trial in a fictional case about a possible violation of human rights guaranteed by the Convention. The participants demonstrated knowledge of international standards and practical skills in their application in national legal proceedings.
Based on the results of the evaluation of written memoranda, KhNUIA team made it to the final eight among 41 teams from various universities in Ukraine and received an invitation to participate in the oral court debates of the second stage.
During the final, the participants underwent training on the role of the European Convention on Human Rights in the legal system of Ukraine. The event was opened by ECHR judge Mykola Hnatovskyi, who addressed the young lawyers with a welcoming speech. There was a presentation of the HELP platform and the eponymous Council of Europe Project aimed at the development of legal education in Ukraine.
KhNUIA representatives performed with dignity, demonstrating a high level of training, analytical thinking and team spirit. The team members and their coach, Professor of the Department of Constitutional and International Law and Human Rights Andrii Voitsikhovskyi, received certificates of participation.

The team was trained by the Head of the Department, Tetiana Hudz, and Professor Andrii Voitsikhovskyi. Thanks to their support, the team achieved high results and worthily represented the university at the all-Ukrainian level.
