On January 18, 2023, a SES helicopter carrying nine employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, headed by Minister Denys Monastyrskyi and his first deputy Yevhen Yenin, crashed in Brovary.

At all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, students and university staff put flowers and lit candles of remembrance near the portraits of the fallen police officers and pilots: Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi, First Deputy Minister Yevhen Yenin, State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yurii Lubkovych, Deputy Head of the Patronage Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Tetiana Shutiak, Head of the Protection Division of the Internal Security Department of the NPU, Police Lieutenant Colonel Mykhailo Pavlushko, Senior Operative in the Internal Affairs Department of the 4th Division of the Internal Security Department of the National Police of Ukraine Andrii Marinchenko, Mykola Anatskyi, Leading Inspector of the Communication Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Oleksandr Vasylenko, aircraft commander and instructor of the Special Forces helicopter squadron, Kostiantyn Kovalenko, pilot of the Special Forces helicopter squadron, and Ivan Kasianov, flight mechanic of the Special Forces helicopter squadron, ensign of the Civil Defense Service.
