The results of the international THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 rating, which assesses the contribution of higher education institutions to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, have been published. This year, the rating covered more than 1,600 universities from 116 countries and territories around the world.

According to the results of THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was among 55 higher education institutions of Ukraine represented in the prestigious international sustainable development rating, and became the only higher education institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine included in it.
In the overall rating, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs entered the group 1001–1500 and demonstrated significant results for individual UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The university received the best result for Sustainable Development Goal No. 16 “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions”, taking a place in the group of 201–300 best universities in the world. This indicator is especially significant for a higher education institution of law enforcement profile, as it reflects the university’s contribution to the development of legal education, training of highly qualified specialists for the security sector and the formation of a safe and democratic society.
KhNUIA is also represented in the rating in the following areas:
• SDG 8 “Decent work and economic growth”, group 601–800;
• SDG 10 “Reduced inequality”, group 601–800;
• SDG 17 “Partnership for sustainable development”, group 1501+.
The participation of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 confirms the international recognition of the results of its educational, scientific and social activities, as well as its commitment to the principles of sustainable development, social responsibility and international partnership.
