Students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the All-Ukrainian competition for the best literary work dedicated to the International Mother Language Day. This year, the competition brought together talented young people from all over Ukraine, who demonstrated sincere love for their native language, a deep understanding of its beauty and significance.

In the poetry genre, cadet Maksym KHYLOBOKYI won 1st place, presenting the poem “Language is a code that cannot be broken” (mentor – senior lecturer of the Department of Humanities and Ukrainian Studies Natalia YELNIKOVA).
The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners and the presentation of a collection of their works are scheduled for October 27 – the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language.
