Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs cadets learn to combat human trafficking

Representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the “Winter School on the Investigation of Crimes Related to Human Trafficking”. The training took place within the framework of a joint project of the OSCE Support Program for Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine.

The university was represented by: Olena HORASH, lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, Vadym MALTSEV, lecturer of the Department of Counteracting Cybercrime, cadets Roman MAKIIEVSKYI, Violeta SHOMAKHOVA, Oleksandr VORONKOV and Kateryna ZHMUROVSKA.

During the training, young people got acquainted with the main trends and challenges in the field of combating human trafficking, increased their awareness of the forms, causes and consequences of this crime, and improved their professional skills in the tactical features of conducting individual investigative (detective) actions. The participants of the event were shown new forms of learning through simulation exercises - how simulations can imitate real situations and help improve practical skills and critical thinking in cadets.

Following the training, all participants received appropriate certificates.
