A practical class with elements of taekwondo was held for students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The event was organized by lecturers of the Department of Special Physical Training together with senior coach of CYSS No. 2, candidate for master of sports in taekwondo and black belt I mistress Kateryna TIUTIUNNYK.

During the class on ‘Hand and foot striking techniques and means of protection,’ the students combined theoretical knowledge with practical exercises. They practised correct stand, accuracy and striking power, learned to effectively transition from defence to counterattack and maintain balance during fights.

Such training promotes the development of speed, coordination, self-confidence and the formation of important self-defence skills. It is not only a sport, but also an essential part of the professional training of future police officers.
