Cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Olha MELNYCHUK and Alona KOZYNETS took part in the Spring School on Investigating Crimes Related to Human Trafficking, which was held thanks to the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Capacity of the National Police of Ukraine in Investigating Crimes Related to Human Trafficking, Including Those Committed Using Cyber Technologies”.

The event brought together education seekers and security specialists from different regions of Ukraine. Participants received thorough knowledge of international and national mechanisms for combating human trafficking, practices for identifying victims, as well as tools for preventing and responding to such crimes.

The Spring School program included interactive trainings, thematic lectures, discussions of real cases, meetings with experts, representatives of law enforcement agencies and public organizations, as well as situational exercises..

The participation of cadets in such an event is an opportunity to increase their own awareness and an important step towards the formation of future specialists capable of effectively counteracting such serious challenges as human trafficking.
