A binary lesson on the subject of ‘Basic Military Training’ was conducted by Oleh YANKOVSKYI, senior lecturer of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, and Ruslan SAVCHUK, specialist in military topography and reserve lieutenant colonel.

During the course, cadets familiarised themselves with the terrain and topographical maps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and also practised orientation using celestial bodies, compasses, watches, maps and local objects.

Future officers actively asked questions, shared observations, and honed the skills necessary for service. Such classes help combine theory with practice, feel more confident in real-life situations, and take another step towards professional mastery.
