During the meeting, the Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police General of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko urged the boys and girls to be persistent in achieving their goals, not to be afraid of difficulties and to take a responsible approach to choosing their future profession: “Service in the National Police, the National Guard, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not only prestigious, but also honorable and responsible, especially now that the country is at war. The state needs smart, strong and dedicated law enforcement officers capable of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens and maintaining law and order as never before. It is the professionalism and determination of future police officers that will ensure stability in society and the safety of every citizen.”

Valerii Vasylovych told the lyceum students about the benefits of studying at the leading police university and outlined the specialties in which specialists are trained for the National Police units. He emphasized that the professions that can be obtained at the university always remain relevant, in demand and vital for society.
“Studying at Kharkiv Police University opens up great opportunities for personal development, self-realization and building a successful career. Our cadets and students demonstrate a high level of discipline, physical and moral fitness, and achieve significant success in their studies and service training. They take an active part in the university's scientific, sports and volunteer activities and become a worthy example for future applicants,” the Rector said.
Valerii Sokurenko also held a working meeting with the head of the State Lyceum “Slobozhanskyi” Oleksii Sereda, during which they discussed the prospects for further cooperation.
