A meeting with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, took place in Kharkiv as part of the nationwide tour "Parliamentary Dialogue: Meeting with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada." Faculty members and students from the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs participated in the event.

The open dialogue covered the work of the parliament and the state's legislative priorities amidst the full-scale war, prospects for Ukraine's post-war recovery, and the legal solutions necessary for societal development.

A specific segment of the discussion focused on the draft of the new Civil Code of Ukraine. Participants discussed updating civil legislation to reflect modern social relations, digitalization, economic development, and new legal challenges arising from the war. Key topics included the regulation of property rights, housing and contractual relations, inheritance, and personal non-property and property rights.

For law students, the meeting offered an opportunity to view the legislative process beyond a purely academic or theoretical perspective. Direct interaction with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada provided a better understanding of how modern legal approaches are shaped and the challenges considered during the legislative update process.

Participation in the parliamentary dialogue complemented the professional training of future legal professionals and served as a platform for expert discussion on the development of Ukrainian law.
