Within the framework of cooperation with the Department of Veterans Policy of Kamianets-Podilskyi Regional Administrative District, the Head of Courses at the Driving School, Oleksandr MARUNCHAK, held another meeting with the Head of the Department, Natalia POKHOLCHUK. They discussed further prospects for cooperation, in particular, participation in activities aimed at supporting veterans in the process of social adaptation after returning from the front. Oleksandr MARUNCHAK emphasized that the Driving School can play an important role, since driving skills contribute to greater independence of combatants. He also noted that war veterans and their family members who have disabilities associated with musculoskeletal disorders can undergo training in professional adaptation free of charge. This is made possible thanks to funding under the budget program of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. The first group, which included persons from this category, has already successfully completed the training.
Natalia POKHOLCHUK spoke about the planned changes in the work of the department and the expansion of its powers in the field of veteran policy. She emphasized that further cooperation of the Driving School with the veteran hub opens up new opportunities for professional development, social integration, and psychological support for combatants, as well as people who acquired disabilities before the war or have congenital disorders.
