On June 28, on the Constitution Day of Ukraine, events were held on Taras Shevchenko Square in Vinnytsia to honor the memory of the Heroes who gave their lives for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of our state.

Representatives of state authorities and local self-government bodies, law enforcement agencies, military personnel, the public and youth joined the flower-laying ceremony.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was represented by the Rector, third-rank police general Valerii Sokurenko, and cadets of the university. During the celebrations, the cadets performed an honorary mission as part of the flag-bearing group and the guard of honor.

The Constitution of Ukraine affirms the values of freedom, human dignity, the rule of law and the independence of the state. Today, these principles are protected not only by the norms of the Basic Law, but also by Ukrainian soldiers who defend the country every day.

Honoring the memory of the fallen Heroes is a tribute of gratitude to those who gave their lives for the future of Ukraine and the right of its people to live in a free, independent state.
