The Head of the Primary Trade Union Organization of Employees of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Vladyslav Neviadovskyi held a meeting with veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war who are currently working at the university.

During the event, topical issues of rehabilitation of employees, their physical and psychological recovery, as well as creation of appropriate conditions for further professional activity were discussed. The initiators of the meeting and the introduction of this initiative were the management of the university and the Trade Union.

The participants paid special attention to issues of support for veterans, rehabilitation and their social adaptation. In particular, it was about the possibility of recovery in specialized health facilities of both the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other rehabilitation institutions. The importance of increasing access to quality rehabilitation services, a tailored approach to each veteran and ensuring continuity in the recovery process was stressed.

«Today it is extremely important to help veterans and support them at all stages of recovery. Rehabilitation should be accessible, comprehensive and systematic – both in institutions of the MIA and in other specialized institutions. We must do all we can to ensure that our colleagues are able to undergo quality treatment, to recover their health and to return to a full life. They have gone through a difficult path and deserve respect, care and real support. At the same time, it is important that they work at the university – is a significant contribution to the education of the younger generation. It is they who form true patriots, convey their experience and values», – emphasized Vladyslav Neviadovskyi.

The participants of the meeting thanked for the initiative and emphasized the importance of further systematic work to support the university's veteran community.
