On April 18, 2024, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs (LvSUIA) will host a roundtable discussion titled «Current Issues of Training Specialists for Units of the National Police of Ukraine».

Topics for discussion:

1. Professional requirements from stakeholders regarding the effective training of police officers under martial law:

- - Units of pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings related to crimes associated with armed aggression against Ukraine.

- - Units of criminal and migration police in combating crimes such as human trafficking and other general criminal activities.

- - Units of criminal analysis and cyber police for detecting criminal offenses involving the use of modern information technologies.

- - Units engaged in preventive activities to safeguard public safety and order, including in previously occupied territories.

- - Explosives services divisions concerning the procedures and safety protocols for police officers in case of explosive device detection.

- - Patrol police units focusing on police-community interaction based on partnership during martial law.

2. Specifics of professional psychological training and military-patriotic education of police officers in adapting to service conditions.

3. Innovative approaches in implementing educational and professional programs for training police officers under martial law.

4. Principles of inclusivity and gender equality in the training of specialists for units of the National Police of Ukraine.
