Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted a meeting of the leadership headed by the Rector, Police General of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko, and the Heads of territorial communities of Chuhuiv and Lozova districts of Kharkiv region.
The event was attended by: Volodymyr Romakh, Head of Lozova Regional State Administration, First Deputy Head of Chuhuiv Regional State Administration Kostiantyn Kozlitin and Heads of communities: Lozivska - Serhii Zelenskyi, Pervomaiska - Mykola Baksheev, Blyzniukivska - Hennadii Korol, Zmiivska - Pavlo Holodnikov, Malynivska - Mykola Semerianov, Starosaltivska - Eduard Konovalov, Chkalivska - Viktor Soloviov, Deputy Heads of communities: Chuhuivska - Liudmyla Makarenko, Biliaivska - Oleh Pryimak, Oleksiivska - Oleksandr Alenevskyi, Novopokrovska - Nataliia Serheeva. The participants of the event discussed issues of military and national-patriotic education, career guidance work and other areas of further cooperation.
The Rector of the university noted that the meeting takes place when Ukraine demonstrates its unity to the whole world. Today, at a difficult time for the state, the joint efforts of the authorities, local governments, law enforcement agencies are needed to ensure peace and security in every community. Valerii Sokurenko spoke about the activities and opportunities of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, in particular, focused on training community police officers, initiated joint events on national and patriotic education, as well as in culture, sports, security and other fields. The General stressed that the university is ready to provide assistance in organizing the training of territorial defense units by specialists of the Department of Fire, Tactical Special Training, and those interested have the opportunity to enroll in the Department of Military Training, become reserve officers and receive the rank of "junior lieutenant".
Specialists of the Science and Security Science Park of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs have the opportunity to develop community security programs, including: advising on the development of the concept and architecture of intelligent video surveillance, selection of appropriate equipment and software for its proper functioning; training of personnel of data processing centers; assistance in the analysis of traffic from CCTV cameras to identify events, vehicles, persons in order to respond quickly to offenses and crimes, ensuring public order and public safety, reducing the number of accidents and other offenses.
Dmytro Shvets, First Vice-Rector of the University, Volodymyr Romakh, Head of Lozova Regional State Administration, Serhii Zelenskyi, Mayor of Lozova, and Pavlo Holodnikov, Mayor of Zmiiv, took part in the discussion.
The participants of the meeting were given an excursion around the territory of the educational institution. The guests got acquainted with the work of the science park, specialized classrooms, the Ukrainian educational and cultural center, visited a modern shooting complex, examined the training grounds of the police university, sports facilities, a gym, got acquainted with the living conditions of cadets and students.
