The Commissioner on Anti-Corruption of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Kateryna Udod joined the Forum “Integrity and Education: New Guidelines”, organized by the Integrity Office of the NACP with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine (EUACI). The event became an all-Ukrainian platform for discussing new approaches to forming a culture of integrity in the education sector and brought together representatives of state bodies, international partners, educators and the public.

The Head of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) Allan Pugh Christensen and Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Andrii Stashkiv addressed the participants of the Forum with welcoming speeches, emphasizing the need to unite the efforts of the state, educators and civil society to establish the principles of integrity in education.

The Chairman of the NACP Viktor Pavlushchyk noted in his speech that integrity in the field of education is an issue of anti-corruption policy and the basis of state development: “The development of integrity is not only a task of anti-corruption policy. It is a question of the future of the state, because the values that our children will be guided by will determine the Ukraine in which we will all live tomorrow.”

As part of the panel “Presentation of best practices for developing integrity in higher education institutions,” Kateryna Udod presented approaches to forming a culture of integrity in higher education institutions with specific learning conditions. The speaker emphasized the role of anti-corruption commissioners as leaders of change in the field of increasing transparency, accountability, and forming an honest educational environment.
During the Forum, Deputy Chairman of the NACP Serhii Hupiak and Head of the Department of Educational Work and Educational Programs of the NACP Iryna Tymchenko presented the Strategy for Developing Integrity in Education for 2026-2030. Participants discussed the integration of integrity principles into educational programs, as well as the development of partnerships between state institutions, educators, learners, and civil society.

The event was an important step towards building an open and honest education system in Ukraine.
