Within the framework of professional training, Yevhen Savchenko, a specialist of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Activity of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, organized a meeting at the Artan space for cadets. The young people had the opportunity to talk to the military serviceman from the special assignment Artan unit, code named Kok, who continues to share effectively his combat experience after his injury.

The serviceman told about his unit activities, the features of completing fighting missions, demonstrated models of equipment and trophies.

Artan is a unity of active actions of the Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, created in 2022 during a full-scale invasion. It’s known for carrying out difficult and unique operations, from battles in key lines to actions in occupied Crimea and on a sea platform. The motto of unity: “Know. Find. Destroy.”.
“Our unity conducts missions of different complexity levels, from intelligence to assault missions. Each soldier must be ready to act independently but at the same time be a part of the team. There is no right to make a mistake here - every move and action can cost someone’s life. That is why continuous training and teamwork are a basis of our activity,” emphasized Kok.
For the future lawmen held a practical lesson on tactical medicine, during which they practiced providing first aid according to the M. A. R. C. H. system.

“This meeting made a strong impression,” shared cadet Dmytro. “Seeing equipment, hearing histories from person, who went through the front lines and survived injury, are inspiring. You really understand why we need such knowledge and life depends on it.”.

Yevhen Savchenko highlighted that such events help future officers to get skills for actions in emergency conditions, develop responsibility, team spirit and cultural safety.

“We want each cadet to not only know in theory how to act in critical situations but also has an opportunity to do it in practice from real professionals who went through the war,” he said.
