Another graduation of community police officers took place at KhNUIA

The police officers have successfully completed training in general legal disciplines, first aid, tactical and specialty training, and improved their driving skills. The effectiveness of the educational process was ensured by the best teachers and trainers for 2.5 months. The training of community police officers was supported by the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police, the United States Embassy and ICITAP.

The event was attended by Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police General of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Vinnytsia Oblast, Police Colonel Volodymyr Oleksiuk, Head of the Community Relations Office of the Preventive Activity Department of the National Police, Police Major Maya Breslavska, Vice-Rectors of the University, management of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning, and course participants.

The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the defenders who gave their lives in the fight against the Russian aggressor, as well as civilians who died during the war.
 

After handing over the certificates of successful completion of the training, Maya Breslavska, Head of the Community Relations Division of the NPU's Department of Preventive Activities, congratulated the community police officers. She thanked the international partners who assisted in organizing the training, the best teachers and instructors who made significant efforts to improve the knowledge and skills of the police officers.

On behalf of the course graduates, Senior Police Lieutenant Yevhen Yevdokimenko expressed his gratitude to the university professors and trainers for the knowledge, guidance and professional experience they have gained: “We, the community police officers, will faithfully perform our duties, serve and protect the Ukrainian people, raise the authority and trust in the National Police. Glory to Ukraine!”

Valerii Sokurenko, Rector of the University, addressed the community police officers with parting words: “I am convinced that smart, motivated officers who already have some experience have gathered here. In addition to learning, you have been communicating with each other, sharing your skills and knowledge. The new practices and techniques you have learned at the university will make you stronger, more responsible, and the kind of people our citizens can count on and feel supported, helped, and cared for. Serve and work so that you are respected by people and protected by the Lord God! Glory to Ukraine!”

The Rector thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police, the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, the Main Department of the National Police in Vinnytsia Region, and foreign partners for their assistance in organizing the educational process.
