The Open Weightlifting Championship of Kharkiv region, held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, brought together about 120 athletes from Kharkiv region. Adult men and women, as well as juniors - representatives of Higher Education Institutions: Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, Ivan Kozhedub National Air Force University, Military Institute of Tank Troops of NTU KhPI, as well as Children's Youth Sports School № 8, Sports Club "Sport-Time", national teams of Kharkiv region.

According to the results of the championship, the winners in the individual and team competitions were determined. The team of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs won the team event.

Rector of the University Valerii Sokurenko congratulated the winners and prize-winners of the competition, wished them to reach their goal and always win. The awards were presented by the First Vice-Rector of the university Dmytro Shvets.
