The participants in the hand-to-hand combat championship were 11 teams from the National Academy of Internal Affairs, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine, Lviv State University of Life Safety, Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National Academy of the State Border Service of Ukraine, National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, Kyiv Institute of the National Guard of Ukraine..jpg)
At the opening ceremony, the head of the educational and sports infrastructure department of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Natalia Kazakova, welcomed the participants, guests and organizers of the championship and noted: “The hand-to-hand combat championship brought together 11 teams of athletes from higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Emergency Service, as well as higher military educational institutions of the State Security Service of Ukraine and the National State University. This is evidence that service-applied sports are actively developing in the higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which contribute to the formation of professional qualities of police officers, rescuers, National Guardsmen and border guards, as well as strengthen the unity of the entire Ministry of Internal Affairs system in today's conditions. 1st place – Kira Dziuba, a second-year cadet of the ERI No. 2, in the 55 kg weight class;
1st place – 1st-year cadet Yaroslav Bohdar of the ERI No. 4 in the weight category up to 75 kg;
2nd place – 3rd-year cadet Diana Dziuba of the ERI No. 2 in the weight category up to 55 kg;
2nd place – Roman Pshenychnyi, a third-year cadet of the ERI No. 1, in the weight class up to 80 kg;
2nd place – Fariz Rashydov, a third-year cadet of the ERI No. 2, in the weight class up to 90 kg..jpg)
