22-year-old Daria Ostapenko from Odesa proved that nothing is impossible
НАВС

A student at the Barrier-Free Driving School of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs received a category B driver's license after successfully passing a practical exam at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center.

«Look for what inspires you. Once you find it, moving forward will become easier», says Daria.

Since childhood, she has been living with motor disorders of cerebral origin. What is normal for some people is a daily struggle, willpower, and constant self-improvement for her. Inclusive education, rehabilitation, and parental support – step by step, Daria has been building her future. She is currently a master's student at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.

«I want to feel free and easy to move around. To be independent, travel, and discover new horizons. A car will give me the opportunity to make my dreams come true. I also want to master the profession of designer – one of the most creative in the age of digital marketing. It's time to change my views and move forward», says Daria.

The «Barrier-Free Driving Schools» project is being implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as part of First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska «Barrier-Free» initiative.
