DSUIA Fighters Conquer New Sporting Heights

The two-day Open Championship of Dnipropetrovsk Region in Cossack Combat, held under the WCFF version, has concluded in Kamianske. Athletes from Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs returned from the competition with an impressive haul of six medals.

The championship brought together athletes aged 16 to 35, competing in various divisions, including MMA, "Bornya-1," "Bornya-2," "Herts," and "Wrestling."

The DSUIA team delivered an outstanding performance, securing four gold and two bronze medals. The winners in their weight categories were cadets Yaroslav OSIPIK (DR-342, up to 70 kg), Vyacheslav CHORNYI (KP-262-24-1, up to 55 kg), Bohdan RYABCHENKO (KP-262-24-1, up to 65 kg), and Nazar ZLYI (DR-343, up to 85 kg). Third place was claimed by Illia CHENCHYK (DR-342, up to 75 kg) and Akim SHARAKOV (DR-081-24-2, up to 65 kg).

Following the championship results, a regional team has been formed to compete in the Ukrainian Championship, set to take place on March 15 in Lutsk.
