The event was held jointly with representatives of the Regional Service Center of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.

The Head of the Automotive Training Department of DSUIA, war veteran Yevhenii Khokhlov, familiarized the center’s patients with the university’s activities, conditions for obtaining higher education, and opportunities for further employment at the educational institution.

Particular attention was paid to the work of the DSUIA Barrier-Free Driving School. Those present were explained the categories of driver training for persons with disabilities, the features of the equipment of training vehicles, and the procedure for undergoing training. In addition, participants received information about the procedure for receiving services at MIA service centers and the possibility of vehicle adaptation.

Patients of the Superhumans center had the opportunity to communicate with the driver-instructor, inspect a specially adapted vehicle used for practical classes, and also try their hand at driving the car.

Conducting such events contributes to the social reintegration of war veterans and persons with disabilities, expands their opportunities for professional development and independent mobility, and also demonstrates the practical implementation of the principles of barrier-free environment in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The DSUIA Barrier-Free Driving School systematically contributes to increasing the level of independence and social realization of veterans, military personnel, and persons with disabilities, expanding their opportunities in everyday life.
