Each of them has their own professional path, their own experience and their own story. Someone has only recently completed their studies and started serving, someone has been performing police tasks for many years, and someone entered the university during a full-scale war, consciously choosing a profession that requires courage, responsibility and devotion to the state.
Today, a Ukrainian police officer is much more than was imagined a few years ago. Law enforcement officers document war crimes, ensure the safety of citizens, evacuate civilians from frontline areas, help victims, work as part of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, carry out stabilization measures, participate in combat missions on the frontline, protecting the state and its citizens, and every day remain close to people where they need support the most.
The history of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is the history of its people. Those who study today, those who already serve in the units of the National Police of Ukraine, who fulfill their professional duty every day, protect the state on the frontline, save people during evacuations, document war crimes and help citizens. And those who forever remained in memory, giving their lives for the safety of people and the independence of Ukraine.
