
More than 70 representatives of KhNUIA, including the scientific and pedagogical staff of departments and research laboratories of Educational and Research Institutes, Sumy branch and Kremenchuk Flight College, representatives of the financial support and accounting department joined the information event organized by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine in Vinnytsia in a mixed format. Its goal is to familiarize representatives of the scientific community with grant opportunities and support tools from the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation "Horizon Europe".

The meeting was opened by the Executive Director of the NRFU Olha POLOTSKA, Head of the Education and Science Department of Vinnytsia RMA Tetiana KAMENSHUK and Policy Specialist of the Operational Department II of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Yehor PYVOVAROV.
The participants discussed the principles of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU), the role of the Ukrainian scientific community in ensuring its activities, organizational aspects of competitive selection and provision of grant support, etc.

Representatives of the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine and NRFU considered the following issues: legal and financial and economic aspects of participation in NRFU programs; career development opportunities for scientists both within the framework of NRFU grant support and by joining the pool of experts for the analysis and expert evaluation of submitted applications; main stages and key elements of consideration of submitted grant applications, etc.

The speakers reported that this year NRFU plans to announce two new competitions: on fundamental scientific research and strengthening defense capabilities. They presented an overview of available areas within the Horizon Europe program, an indicative list of topics for the 2025–2027 calls, and also spoke in detail about the features of searching for foreign and domestic partners, preparing and submitting applications, defining performance markers, budget planning, financing and reporting. In addition, the speakers held a master class on using the European Union funding and tenders portal “Funding and Tenders”.
The format of the event included the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers, hold discussions and debates. Representatives of the NRFU and the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine provided meaningful answers and useful links aimed at involving the scientific community in working on projects and obtaining grant funding.

Представники НФДУ та Офісу Горизонт Європа в Україні надали змістовні відповіді та корисні посилання, спрямовані на залучення наукової спільноти до роботи над проєктами та отримання грантового фінансування.
