Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Alla SHYLINA completed a training course for trainers in providing psychological first aid with the participation of the European Union Advisory Mission on Reforming the Civil Security Sector of Ukraine.

During the five-day training, participants received thorough knowledge and practical skills in providing psychological first aid in crisis situations, in particular in the context of hostilities and other emergency events. Special attention was paid to the development of stress management skills, psychoeducation of victims, as well as algorithms for actions in case of acute psycho-emotional states.

The training included interactive classes, simulation of real situations and teamwork, which allowed participants not only to consolidate theoretical knowledge, but also to practice practical skills in conditions close to real ones.

At the end of the training, participants received certificates recognized by the European Union Advisory Mission and confirming the high level of professional training of specialists capable of teaching others the basics of psychological support in crisis situations.
