Students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs regularly take part in volunteer initiatives supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. One such activity is making trench candles, which soldiers need in field conditions.

This time, the students, together with the Youth Council under the Mayor of Kamianets-Podilskyi, took part in a workshop where they made candles by hand for Ukrainian defenders. Such items help soldiers keep warm, light their shelters, and heat food when ordinary household amenities are unavailable.

The finished candles will soon be delivered to the military at the relevant front sectors. For the students, this work continues their ongoing volunteer efforts to support those who defend Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity every day.

Joint work with youth associations fosters cohesion, develops responsibility and compassion, and promotes the values of mutual assistance and patriotism. Even each participant's small contribution becomes part of a shared cause: supporting Ukrainian service members.
