The 9th edition of the Ranking of Universities based on the number of citations of the most popular profiles of scientists in Google Scholar (Top Universities by Citations in Top Google Scholar profiles, January 2025) has been published. The ranking covers more than 6,100 higher education institutions, ranked by the number of citations received by leading scientists in their public Google Scholar profiles. The data was obtained by filtering the 310 most popular profiles by citation by university web domain. To ensure representativeness, the top 20 profiles were removed from the list. Universities are ranked in descending order of the indicator - the number of citations.
Only universities with more than 1,000 citations are included in the ranking. Among 107 Ukrainian universities, six HEIs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine were included in the ranking.
The citation index of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is 47871. Compared to the results of the previous edition of the ranking, KhNUIA has an increase in the number of citations by 6021. The university took 32nd place out of 107 Ukrainian higher education institutions.
