The next annual rating of Ukrainian higher education institutions according to the Scopus scientometric database has been published on the Osvita.ua website.
This year, 195 higher education institutions of Ukraine are included in the Scopus database. In the ranking table, they are ranked according to the h-index - a quantitative indicator based on the number of scientific publications and the number of citations.
According to the results of the rating, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs has the highest h-index and the best result among the higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that train police officers. It takes the 132nd position in the ranking.
Scopus is a bibliographic and abstract database, as well as a tool for tracking citations of articles published in scientific journals. Scopus data is used, among other things, to compile some rankings of the world's leading universities, such as the Times Higher Education or QS World University Rankings.
