The university staff – cadets, students, master's students, employees – were congratulated by the Rector, Police General of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko.

He noted: “This day was initiated by caring young people – students, who during the Revolution of Dignity took to the streets and squares of our cities and towns to say: “We want to live in a democratic country!”. I am sure that Ukraine will be a powerful, European state, and it is we, the police, who are entrusted with an important and responsible mission – to protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens. Today, the authority of the National Police can be compared to the authority of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition to professional duties, police officers perform humanitarian functions, help and support people, demine thousands of hectares of territories contaminated with explosive objects, and defend the integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine with weapons in their hands. Let us be worthy of the heroes who defend our freedom and independence! Dear cadets, persistently master knowledge, acquire skills and abilities that will be useful to you in your further service! Today is your personal contribution to the future Victory over the enemy. Serve and study so that people respect you and the Lord God protects you! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!

The event ended with a creative composition "Patriots of Ukraine".
