National H-index Ranking is an international non-profit ranking that evaluates the scientific achievements of universities, scientific organizations and research institutions based on the consolidated Hirsch index indicator in databases and on the Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar platforms.
The compilers of this version of the ranking studied the indicators of 451 scientific organizations of Ukraine and, according to the National H-index indicator, distributed their positions into three categories:
“Leaders in scientific potential” (from 1 to 47 places) – the most influential scientific organizations of the country according to the total Hirsch index indicator;
“High scientific potential” (from 48 to 112 places) – scientific institutions that are among the top 30% in the country in terms of productivity indicators;
"Rating participants" (from 113 to 238 places) - all scientific organizations that ranked below the top 30%.
Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is the only one among the MIA HEIs that train police officers to enter the "High Scientific Potential" category, ranking 111th in the ranking.
