The next edition of the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026, which is compiled by the British analytical company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), one of the world's leading centers in the field of higher education, has been published.
QS World University Rankings: Europe only covers European universities. In the 2026 rating, 958 universities in Europe were analyzed, including 57 institutions of higher education in Ukraine.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was included in the list of universities that met the QS criteria and took position =162 in the East European ranking. KhNUIA became the only representative of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in this rating and one of the nine Kharkiv universities selected by QS experts to participate in the 2026 European rating. This shows that the university meets international standards of transparency, academic quality and development.
The evaluation of universities within the QS rating is carried out according to a number of key indicators, in particular: academic reputation, reputation among employers, level of employment of graduates, research activity (according to Scopus), international partnership, qualification of academic staff and other criteria.
