The event for DSUIA cadets with representatives of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was organized by the university’s authorized person for anti-corruption activities Ruslan Lupyr.

In accordance with Article 56 of the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”, a special verification is conducted with respect to persons who claim positions that involve holding a responsible or particularly responsible position, as well as positions with an increased corruption risk. Such persons include, in particular, investigators and inquirers of the National Police of Ukraine.

Cadets of the fourth year of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the NPU were met by the Head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Police Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Tretiakov, and the Inspector of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Police Captain Mykyta Mykhailychenko.

Maksym Tretiakov noted that the decision on appointment or refusal of appointment to the position of investigator or inquirer is made only after the special verification is conducted. Persons who fail to submit the declaration and other documents required for the special verification in a timely manner or do not pass this verification do not have the right to be appointed to the relevant positions. He also drew attention to the fact that a person submitting the documents necessary for the special verification, including the candidate’s declaration for the position, is obliged to submit the annual declaration for the previous year as well.

Mykyta Mykhailychenko reviewed typical mistakes made by declarants, in particular in the candidate’s declaration for the position within the framework of the special verification.

At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Police Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Tretiakov, provided methodological and practical recommendations on how to avoid mistakes when submitting the declaration.
