Innovative Technologies in the Educational Process at the OSUIA
НАВС

At Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, the Research Laboratory on Current Issues in Criminal Analysis, in collaboration with the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities, conducted a practical training session for cadets using virtual reality (VR) technology.

During the session, the cadets practiced the procedure for conducting a crime scene investigation in a virtual environment, which brings the educational process as close as possible to real-world operational conditions. The use of VR technology helps develop practical skills and professional thinking, and improves the quality of training for future law enforcement officers.

The session was led by:

Ruslan Melykov – a staff member of the Research Laboratory on Current Issues in Criminal Analysis;

Demyd Morozov – Professor in the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities;

Yurii Svynarenko – Head of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities.

The integration of modern digital technologies into the educational process is one of the priority areas for the development of the OSUIA and ensures the training of highly qualified specialists who are prepared to carry out professional tasks in today’s environment.
