The students successfully reached the final of the International internship for students of law clinics UP 2026 “People-centered public service: European standards, regional policy and innovative management models”, which was organized from March to May by the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine in partnership with the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service.

According to the results of two stages of the competition, the team of the ERI No. 2 “Legal Unity UA” took second place, and the team of the ERI No. 1 “Titans of Law” took third place. The “Legal Unity UA” team included cadets Maksym Lavryk and Roman Shahin, the “Titans of Law” team was represented by cadets Daryna Verbytska and Maria Shmyhol. The scientific support of both teams was provided by Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Yulia Zahumenna. All participants received certificates of completion of the 90-hour program (3 ECTS credits).

The internship consisted of two stages. In the first - scientific - the participants prepared essays on the issues of European standards of public service, regional policy and innovative management models. The cadets focused on the concept of a human-centered public service, ethical challenges of civil servants' activities and ensuring human rights in conditions of martial law. Based on the results of the presentations, both teams were among the finalists.

The second stage was practical in nature and involved solving a case in the field of public administration. The teams presented project solutions for communities aimed at strengthening the protection of human rights, transparency and accountability of government bodies. Based on the total number of points, both teams of the KhNUVS won prizes, gaining valuable experience in working with real legal cases and implementing European approaches in the field of public administration.
