The annual all-Ukrainian race is dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and the 10th anniversary of the Ilovaisk tragedy.

The patriotic event, held for the seventh time, is joined by thousands of Ukrainians around the world to pay tribute to those Heroes who will never run again under the blue Ukrainian sky for which they laid down their lives.

The goal of the race is to thank and support the families of the soldiers, to unite veterans, law enforcement officers, military personnel, volunteers, cadets and students, and all concerned Ukrainians around the unshakable values of statehood and independence.
