The head of the department for organizing the activities of temporary detention centers and monitoring actions with detainees of the Main Directorate of the National  Police in the Odesa region, police lieutenant colonel Oleksii USATYI, police chief lieutenant colonel Oleksii PARADOVSKYI, and deputy head of the detention center, police major Viktor SHEREMET, told the higher education students in detail about the work of the detention center.

During the excursion, the cadets had the opportunity:

- get acquainted with the temporary detention facility guard line;

- see temporary holding cells, solitary confinement cell, yard for the walks of detained persons;

- inspect rooms for procedural actions and legal assistance;

- to find out how the inspection of detained persons takes place, the placement process and the peculiarities of the detention regime;

- explore suitcase for inspection and search.

Future specialists saw how the norms of criminal procedural legislation are implemented in practice, in particular regarding procedural actions with detainees, documentation and interaction of temporary detention facility with other police units.
