Cadets from the Faculty of Training for Pre-Trial Investigation Agencies of the National Police of Ukraine and the Educational and Research Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs participated in the Fall School on Combating Human Trafficking, which took place September 21-26 with the support of the OSCE Assistance Program for Ukraine.

The participants practiced their skills in detecting and investigating crimes related to human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children. During a simulation exercise based on real-life cases, the cadets examined the crime scene, conducted investigative activities, interacted with simulated victims and offenders, and practiced child-friendly interviewing techniques.

Special attention was given to the collection and analysis of digital evidence and the investigation of offenses related to child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
