Аn interdepartmental binary practical class was held for third-year students of the Institute of Law and Security at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs on the topic “Barrier-Free Communication”.

The event was organized by lecturer of the Department of Language Training Yana Prenko, with the participation of the Deputy Head of the NGO “Barrier-Free”, Maryna Atanasova, and lecturer of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines Liubov Berezovenko.

Maryna Atanasova introduced the students to the activities of the NGO “Barrier-Free”, emphasizing key areas of work aimed at ensuring equal access and promoting an inclusive society.

The class was designed to develop barrier-free communication skills in the professional activity of future lawyers, as well as to practice English-language terminology in the field of accessibility and inclusion. During the practical part, students worked on case studies simulating real-life situations involving violations of barrier-free principles.

The students identified violated rights, justified possible types of legal liability, and developed algorithms for protecting the rights of individuals in each of the proposed scenarios.
